The French Centre (Centre Charles Péguy) is a registered charitable trust (nº 229392 & 231249), established in 1954. The Centre is supervised by the Centre d’Echanges Internationaux (C.E.I) and subsidized by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Our main aim is to link young people (aged 18 years old or more) with job opportunities in the UK and particularly in London. We also offer them our help in their search for work (workgroup and documentation) and accommodation (landlords offers on a board).

For this purpose, the Centre has an employment department, through which we put our members in contact with potential employers. Each candidate is interviewed by the department to assess their level of English and to ascertain what motivates them and their professional goals. Our Employment Advisers ensure that the skills and abilities of the applicants match the job profile provided to us by potential employers.

This service is FREE to employers. Advertising your vacancies via our Centre helps us to help them. The majority of our members hold qualifications for the jobs for which they are applying and a good percentage are very highly qualified. During the last year, we were involved in helping more than 1 000 of our members find suitable positions to their skills
